MUSTAPHA AMEGO:FUNKY MALLAM TO BE BURIED TODAY

Former President of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mustapha Amego a.k.a Funky Mallam who lost his battle with colon cancer on Wednesday, 23rd October 2013, will be laid to rest today at 2pm (Eastern Time) according to Muslim rites in Maryland USA. Prayers will hold prior to burial at the Prince George's Muslim Association Hall, Maryland.
Mustapha who hailed from Kano State, and a degree holder in Cinematography, was a musician, presenter, hair dresser and a showbiz personality. He anchored the popular weekly dance show of the 90s, Sunday Rendezvous. He fought for the rights of musicians in Nigeria during his tenure as President of PMAN and made sure their voices were heard.  He re-located to the USA 15 years ago and continued his showbiz passion. He worked as a content producer at the Discovery Channel and floated his own journal. His last project was an Online TV News programme called The World Today.
He is survived by his wife, Marie and his 14 year old daughter, Fatemma.
